a stroll take through town
a boat trip on the river is on my wish list
Yesterday we took a tour to this beautiful place - the Rakotz Bridge in the Azalea and Rhododendron Park in Kromlau. This place is in Lusatia, where a large part of the population are Sorbs... with its own language - Sorbian.
for Easter they make the most wonderful Easter eggs using different techniques... I've tried it too, it's a lot of fun but takes a lot of time...
We visited the Sorbian Center, where I found this picture, among other things, and where the various costumes - Trachten - are on display.

Our strawberries are still a few weeks off, but what a bridge -- and reflections too.
AntwortenLöschen...Viola, this is a fabulous post! I did a search for Kromlau and saw that the beautiful bridge is ionic. Thanks for taking me along.
I have seen photos of this bridge, but had no idea which area it was in. How lovely to learn more about it and Lusatia. How fascinating that the Sorbs have their own language and those Easter eggs are absolutely stunning! Thank you for sharing Viola! xxx

Das ist eine wunderbare Brücke! AMAZING! Leckere reife Sonnen-Erdbeeren!
AntwortenLöschenOh, that bridge arched over the river; just gorgeous. How lovely to stroll through a park where azaleas and rhododendrons are in full bloom. Lovely photo of you, Viola. Your lovely smile says it all.
AntwortenLöschenThe bridge is so lovely ( and so old!). Pretty flowers and also national costumes. Nice that you included a picture of yourself :)

AntwortenLöschenSo beautiful, Viola. The bridge is breathtaking. Enjoy your vacation! Hugs, Valerie
AntwortenLöschenWhat an interesting place to visit - thank you for taking us along with you, Viola!

AntwortenLöschenHappy week.
Best regards.
You so kindly came to visit me a couple of weeks ago and I've been snowed under and slow to return the call. Boy, this post was worth waiting for. That tour looks just fascinating and your photos are fantastic. It's a spot I'll probably never see in person, so thanks for taking me there!
