With the nature
Yesterday I took a tour to Saxon Switzerland - the Elbe Sandstone Mountains/Germany - it has been a national park since 1990 and is around 93 square kilometers in size.
The goal was a lap to the Bastei og the Basteibridge. The Bastei is a rock formation with a view and is 305 meters above sea level.
I traveled by train and took the ferry across the Elbe to get to the starting point...

| viewpoints can already be seen from the ferry... like here the "Kanapee" at the Tiedgestein |
The tour a pleasure.
See for yourself...

Takk for alle opplevelser og minner. Hils og nyt sommeren! Klem
The geologic formations are exceptionally interesting, Viola. Even a rudimentary understanding can provide so much information about the area and its development through time. Great series of pictures. I am happy to share in your adventures. All the best - David

Klem
Kos deg videre. Hilsen Tove/fargeneforteller
AntwortenLöschenViola this was a fascinating foray into some breathtakingly beautiful countryside! I love that it was rainy but not too wet to enjoy the hikes and views. Happy new week to you! xoxo
AntwortenLöschenThe rain at the end of the tour didn't bother me - I had my rain jacket with me :-)) Of course I would have wished for this wonderfully bright blue sky for the photos - Jenny, you know it... these beautiful "postcard photos" :-))) Hug
LöschenWow! The geology there is fascinating. The gorge bridge is surreal among the rock formations. It looks like a wizard could peep out at any minute. Scary up there on the viewing area, but a gorgeous view worth the hike!
AntwortenLöschenYou did a very good and satisfactional travel. What a fantastical pictures. They are great.
