A little dream of spring

I dream of riding my bike to the shops, through the forest and over the mountains. I have to say, 15 degrees Celsius is my rule and I also like sunshine and blue skies... imagine a wonderful picnic in the countryside...

And it's not far until the Easter holidays... 14 days from tomorrow is Green Thursday.

I made these three cards, it was a suggestion from Kathy. Thank you because it was fun and I sent one of the cards to Kathy.

And I saw Tchaikovsky's wonderful ballet "Sleeping Beauty". It was absolutely amazing. I'll include a link for anyone who's interested in learning about it.

At the opera I climbed the many stairs to the third tier and thought... oh dear, I hope I see something at all...

I'm so glad I listened to the ticket sales service and bought this last ticket... because it was great to enjoy the action on stage with such a wonderful view from above.

Photos of what's happening on stage are not welcome and I wouldn't have had the leisure to take any, so you can click on the official video from the Opera House above if you like.

We also treated ourselves to a girls' evening and went to the dance company "Rosas" at the Hellerau Center for the Arts. There was a performance with folk singer Meskerem Mees.

             That was very impressive.

And what else belongs to a girls' night... besides some wine...

I made cake... and one of the men made us...

Do you also have an ice cream maker? I don't have one... yet.

                                            Hug from Viola

  5. Viola, your cards are beautiful! Such a clever lady you are. Glad that you enjoyed your two outings. And, yes, I do have an ice cream maker.
By the way, my yogurt that I TRIED to make in the bread machine, was NOT a success. That was my second try...so I ordered a yogurt maker like I had before. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but will be doing it soon. I know that will work because it's just like the yogurt machine that I had before.

  7. It won't be long before you can enjoy spring. Around here the days get shorter, the sun goes down earlier and in a few days we will start wearing the coats.

  8. The opera hall is stunning. Worth the price of a ticket just to see that! I have an ice cream maker. I don't use it often but I'm happy I have it when I do. That is some really good looking ice cream.

  10. Hej Viola!
Jag längtar också efter att kunna cykla igen. Det är bart på vägarna men det har varit ganska kallt. Väntar tills värmen kommer. Dina kort är fina. Tårtan och glassen ser riktigt goda ut.

  18. I haven't been to the ballet in... oh my! well over 50 years. But I play Sleeping Beauty and Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet, among others, quite often-- once every couple of months (at least). I envy you.

    1. Yes, dear Bill, Tchaikovsky's music is simply indescribable, I left the opera on a carpet of stardust clouds of happiness... and Prokofiev's "Romeo and Juliet" will be performed twelve times from April to summer and I have a ticket. Great joy, you know it...

  20. It’s several years since I went to the ballet, Viola, but it is a wonderful art form, requiring both athleticism and grace from the performers. Sounds like you had a fabulous time and enjoyed other activities with your girlfriends too. And no, we don’t have an ice cream maker! Hugs from Ontario - David

Ganz normale Tage. Lass es dir gut gehen!
