Sewing brings joy
On my little walks I pass the water lily pond... these colors are just so beautiful
and I rummage through my fabrics at home...
I've decided I need a bucket hat... ...here is the pattern I recorded.
I originally wanted to make a reversible hat, but I ended up deciding on two hats.
And I baked croissants - the dough has to be folded several times and is always put in the fridge in between. The work is worth it, it's simply delicious...
And one of the next treats is this - now that there are fresh peaches...

I have now taken my very first two tops to the quilt shop because I realized that I can't quilt such large blankets on my household sewing machine... I'll do the binding myself :-) And there are long waiting times... the lady in the Quilt shop is super nice. I have faith.
Your hats are wonderful, Viola, and you model them perfectly. It’s great to know that the colours of nature act as inspiration for you. Miriam avoids making items she cannot quilt herself. Liebe Viola, deine Hüte sind ja süß geworden - ein Wendehut wäre natürlich auch nett, aber ich stelle mir vor, dass das ungleich komplizerter ist. Und so ist es ja eigentlich auch praktischer - wenn der eine Hut vielleicht schmutzig oder verschwitzt ist, kannst du den anderen nehmen. (Ich habe übrigens einen - gekauften - Wendehut: Eine Seite ist für Regenwetter geeignet, die andere aus Jeansstoff. Den hab ich schon länger nicht mehr getragen, weil ich mir mit dieser Hutform nicht gefalle. Aber manchmal macht vor allem ein Regenhut Sinn...) Ich wusste nicht, dass es Quiltshops gibt, und auch nicht, dass es ein Problem darstellt, Quilts mit normalen Haushaltsnähmaschinen zu nähen. Woran man mal wieder erkennt, dass ich nähtechnisch wirklich nicht viel Ahnung habe. Am besten bin ich noch beim Nähen mit der Hand... Du bist jedenfalls sehr fleißig am Quilten, und was du zeigst, gefällt mir.
