Yay, my top is quilted...
Yesterday I took a tour of the city
 |
| Dresden - Outer New Town |
and opposite the "Kunsthofpassage" is the quilting workshop and I am so happy that I found it, Anke is a wonderful lady who is available to help and advise. Here is her work - long arm quilt...
As an insert I used a light needle-punched volume fleece made from 50% soy and 50% cotton, the back is combed cotton...
The sample fabric is the design of Tula Pink and the green in between is from Robert Kaufmann's collection... now it's time to bind... and yes, it is my very first large quilt... and my first binding. So see you later :-))
The waiting time for the quilt was shortened by our vacation...
We drove from east to south through all of Germany...
to Belgium and enjoyed the North Sea - the Atlantic Ocean.
We spent most of our vacation in England.
It was so beautiful. If you want to see some of it, I took more than 2000 photos... well, we were away for four weeks :-))
Hug
from
Viola.
I wish you a wonderful day
Liebe Viola,
Saluti.
AntwortenLöschenMiriam is a quilter too, but these days she stays away from large quilts, since they are just too difficult to quilt. I’ll look forward to learning more about your vacation, Viola. Hugs - David

I love those decorated buildings Dresden, beautiful. Congratulations on your quilt finish, here's to many more! What a great trip for your holiday, you must have passed by me! xx
AntwortenLöschenThe quilting looks good.
AntwortenLöschenThe buildings behind you are colourful.
That's a lot of photos, but they bring back memories when you forget and look at them.
Take care.
Klem, Oddi
AntwortenLöschenWelcome back Viola! I loved joining you on your tour of the city, as well as your travels through Germany and Belgium (nice!) and ultimately to my beloved England. Oh, and your quilt is looking gorgeous! xxx

Dear Viola,
AntwortenLöschenYour vacation sounds wonderful - so many beautiful places to explore. I really like the bright colours in your quilt. It will look even better when you've bound it. Congratulations on a job well done.
Hello Viola! Your quilt is beautiful! Looking forward to seeing it once you have the binding on it. I knew a German lady named Anke. She married an American and lives here in the states. She's such a lovely person.
AntwortenLöschenI would certainly enjoy seeing more pictures from your vacation in England. I have a dear friend who lives in Scotland.
Your quilt is going to be beautiful.
AntwortenLöschenHello Viola, your quilt is very beautiful. I enjoyed reading about your vacations and it was nice to see the pictures.
AntwortenLöschenAutumn is here, I love that season and I know you will, too. I really like how you brighten up your own days. Today I picked up some yellow leaves to dry. There were also a few drops of dew on them. The sun is shining today, and it is shining into my room as I am writing now. It will rain on Wednesday, but I also like rain.
I wish you all the best, enjoy autumn and your days.Hugs.:)
Takk for flotte, fargerike bilder.

Nydelige bilder! Tusen takk for at du deler :)
Mooie plekjes in Dresden.
Heerlijk 4 weken vakantie. Ik verheug mij op veel foto's.
Fijn weekend, lieve groet Willy
Traude

Dear Viola
AntwortenLöschenI love your colourful pictures and the picture of you! I love Roscoff it was our last year’s vacations. I just bought onions from Roscoff they are sweet and so good.
The pear cake has been appreciated .
I make the caramel in the “moule” display the pears and put the preparation on top, when baked it is like a tarte tatin and the pears are on top.
You are lucky to have been to England. My son is in London for his work this week.
Amitiés de Catherine
Such wonderful city photos! Your quilting is lovely!
2000 Fotos in vier Wochen - kein Wunder!
Your quilt is beautiful, Viola! Congratulations to you on such a gorgeous finish! How wonderful to be on vacation and drinking in all that idyllic countryside.
