Things are moving forward
I'm making good progress and it's really fun... I need a total of 80 of these pieces to sew one quilt.
Four pieces are always put together... to later sew rows from them... these are then put together to create the quilt size.
I'll be busy with that for a while. I enjoy creating things :-)) Apart from that, I've had some wonderful experiences in nature.
They still delight us, but the grey mists are already approaching.
...it has so much mystery, the fog, I like all seasons...
I've picked out my lovely hat; I sewed it a while ago... Next Saturday is the fabric market here— maybe I'll find a nice new fabric for a new hat. I sewed it so that it will keep my ears warm.
Strolling along the Elbe in Dresden – with friends and…
Coffee and cake... it's always good.
There hasn't been any night frost yet.
Greetings to you all. I hope you have a wonderful time and look forward to reading what you're up to.
Creating beauty – in that spirit.
All the best.
Beautiful photos. That is going to be a very impressive quilt. I love the hat that you made and it looks good on you
AntwortenLöschenThat quilt is going to be a challenge! We haven't had frosts here yet, but I have put covers on some plants just to be ready.
AntwortenLöschenThat hat you made is lovely, Viola. The quilt will keep you busy for a while. Foggy autumn mornings and trees beginning to change colours; such pretty landscapes.
AntwortenLöschenGorgeous post! Love the design of your new quilt block, and rhe hat-I still have a similiar hat my Mom made me-many years ago for wearing in the garden. Loved the photos too
AntwortenLöschenNo frost here either we are getting cooler nights but haven't wanted to turn the heat on yet
How wonderful to see the mallards and heron we have here too. That’s a lot of work with the quilt but you will meet the challenge.
AntwortenLöschenYour quilt sounds wonderful — such patience and creativity to bring all those pieces together. I love how you combine your crafting with moments in nature; the way you describe the mist and changing seasons feels so peaceful. 🍂 Wishing you cozy autumn days, good finds at the fabric market, and lots of joyful sewing! 🧵✨
AntwortenLöschen...Voila, I love your new modern block, it's art! Enjoy your autumn, take care and stay warm and well.
AntwortenLöschenFunny I have the same pink dahlia photo on my blog today, well one just like the one you shared today. It's lovely. So many beautiful outdoor photos. And that fog is mysterious. Nice hat too. You're lucky to have a fabric market, although it could be dangerous for your wallet. Grin, Your quilt is looking super too. Have a great new week. hugs-Erika
AntwortenLöschenYou are going to enjoy wearing that hat!! The photos are so pretty! We often have foggy mornings all winter here.
AntwortenLöschenYour quilt is a piece of art, literally. It's so beautiful. Well done!
AntwortenLöschenGreat pics from your nature in Germany. Oddly enough we are more or less at the same stage of autumn. I thought we'd be ahead of you, but no;-)
And these dangerous German cakes. They bring memories back as I lived in Munich for almost seven years. But I have to admit that I was more into "Schweinehaxe" and "sauerkraut" than cakes;-)
I always enjoy your posts. Cute new hat, great progress on your project -- I like the yellow and gray together. The colors on that first butterfly photo with the asters just knock me out. That's a magnificent capture. Loved every photo -- the bridge, trees, ducks. All wonderful. Happy week!

AntwortenLöschenStay Fancy ,
Cheers
Dear Viola, I really like the gray fog, which makes the landscape mystical. There were times when I walked home from work instead of taking the bus because the weather was foggy and I wanted to enjoy it.
AntwortenLöschenYour pictures are beautiful, I especially like the yellow leaves. We walked in the forest at weekend, there are still a lot of green leaves, but we have already seen yellow and brown ones, especially under the trees. Continue to enjoy life, give and accept everything it gives. Éva

I love the colours and fabrics you are using for your quilt. Great photographs. I love all seasons but autumn is my favourite. Light fog here this morning. xx
I just returned from England last night so my body is still a little out of synch and this is a cheerful, friendly greeting to welcome me home. I saw a Peacock butterfly over there and was surprised to see it so late in the season. Doubtless, that’s because I am unfamiliar with its flight period. The bird population seems to be in serious decline, however. Hugs - David
AntwortenLöschenI enjoy the mystery that comes with misty scenes! Your hat is beautiful, yes it is that time of year to always carry a hat!
AntwortenLöschenThat quilt's going to be a stunner, Viola!
AntwortenLöschenThank you for your atmospheric photos of impending Autumn as well as the "wildlife"! Oh, and I am craving a piece of that chocolate cake now! xxx
