Morning joy
I know the photo didn't turn out well, but I wanted to share my joy at seeing the migratory birds this morning. It's simply wonderful how loudly they chatter, making it impossible to miss them as they fly by. It's a magnificent sight to watch them trajectory across the sky – at 40 to 60 kilometers per hour. That's why there isn't much time for taking photos. A moment of pure bliss. Thank you.

This robin will stay with me; my garden is part of its territory, and I will take care of it in winter.
Just like this beautiful great tit that is never alone.
And the neighbor's pretty cat knows... the birds are off-limits...

Er war mit mir den ganzen Sommer über mit den Wildgänsen auf dem Flug von Südschweden hinauf nach Lappland und kehrte nun zurück, wohlbehalten und als Mensch zurückverwandelt. Doch sein Blick ging voller Sehnsucht hinauf in den Himmel, wo die Gänse weiter geflogen sind..

I like the play with colour and shapes in your quilt. There is a lot of motion there. Those long skeins of migratory birds trailing across the sky are a beautiful sight. I always look up and watch them pass into the distance.

Io ho avuto, per circa due anni, un pettirosso che, tutte le mattine , arrivava e aspettava che gli portassi le briciole da mangiare. Poi non l'ho più visto, chissà che fine ha fatto !! Ho anche un bel gatto che ha sempre rispettato il pettirosso ! Bellissimi quegli uccelli, in formazione, che vanno in cerca del caldo !

Isn't it amazing how far the call of those waterfowl travel when they fly over? Sometimes I will hear the call of the crane and swear it is just overhead only to look up and see a string of them as tiny specks flying far overhead.

Viola, these are some of your loveliest photos. I do like that cat (and hope he's well behaved!) and your robin is adorable. Yes, take good care of him. That lovely tit is gorgeous too. You're right about seeing the birds in formation -- how they know how to do that, who can say. But they all do! Your world is filled with color and beauty. I hope your week is a happy one.

AntwortenLöschenein wunderschöner Post mit all den Farben des Herbstes und der Vogelflug ist sooo beeindruckend. Meisen, Rotkehlchen, ja das sind die Vögel, die auch im Winter im Garten bleiben. Nun hab ich auch die Schwarzamsel gesichtet, sie war lange weg und hat den Weg zurück -hoffentlich folgen auch bald die Drosseln- in unseren Garten gefunden.

It's amazing how the birds fly in formation like that on their migration. It was also lovely o see all the other birds. AntwortenLöschenNo te extrañes nada de que esas formaciones de aves migratorias las veamos por nuestro cielo, ya que mi pueblo está situado a unos 80 kilómetros del parque de Doñana, y es paso obligado de las aves que vienen del norte de Europa, para pasar el invierno en un clima más cálido. Llevamos viéndolas desde principios de Octubre, y seguirán pasando hasta mediados de Diciembre.
