An observation tower
To my great delight,
I saw an incredible number of swallows' nests in the tower.
This observation tower was built next to a playground and a café; it is located in the Lusatian Lake District. This is an artificial landscape in Germany created after coal mining operations ceased. Coal extraction began in 1880 and ended in 1990. Five lakes—formerly open-cast mines—are connected by artificial canals...
We rounded off the day in the garden with Italian pizza
and fine, chilled white wine.
And here are the delicious tomatoes to go with it... I am absolutely delighted at how magnificently they are thriving in the garden.
I think that was a blueberry pastry on your picnic. It looked incredible.

AntwortenLöschenPodařilo se hezky vyfotit vlaštovčí hnízda. U nás se říkalo, že tam, kde si vlaštovky postaví hnízdo, bude mít ten dům štěstí. ☺ Zaujala mě oblast po skončení těžby uhlí, také u nás vznikla podobná jezera a slouží k rekreaci.
Rajčata vypadají nejen hezky, ale určitě jsou moc chutná, to je jiná chuť než z obchodu.
Přeji příjemné letní dny a projížďky na kole. 😊

Die Pizza heißt "Capricciosa" und wird mit gekochtem Schinken, Pilzen, Oliven und Artischocken belegt. Es ähnelt der "Four Seasons"-Pizza, aber anstatt in vier Abschnitte unterteilt zu werden, wird hier alles miteinander vermischt :-))) Außerdem ist Schinken anstelle von Salami gekocht.

Das sieht nach einem richtig schönen Sommer aus mit wandern, radfahren, auf Türme klettern und gutes Picknick. Schwimmen im See ist natürlich extrafein. Ist diese Seenlandschaft verhältnismäßig neu? Ich erinnere mich, in der Tagesschau (?) einen Bericht über so einen See gesehen zu haben, wo auch mehrere Seen eine große zusammenhängende Landschaft bilden.

Die Seenlandschaft entstand im Laufe der Jahre aus den Kohlebergwerken, und in diesem Jahr wurde ein Netz aus fünf miteinander verbundenen Seen mit Stränden – einschließlich Schleusen und Wasserwegen – und wunderbaren Fahrradwegen eröffnet.
