Stjerner glitrer og lys skinner
What a lovely time
On my last walk I leisurely collected this wonderful dried bouquet... and there were also relaxed trips to one or two Christmas markets... and when the third light comes on, we go to the medieval market at Königstein Fortress/ together with friends. Saxon Switzerland/Germany. There was already a blog post about it last year.
For anyone who likes it, here are my photos of me relaxing and enjoying... it's a wonderful time... thanks.
...and I'm currently reading “A Whole Life” by Robert Seethaler. The book was made into a film and is currently showing in art theaters.
yes... the forest is almost my best friend. Every now and then a mulled wine with my husband... here rose from the winemaker in Meißen.
...here we had coffee and cake in Zinzendorf Castle, it is a small castle where events such as concerts, readings and exhibitions take place regularly. In 1998, an association with members from Germany, Switzerland and the USA was founded to restore and manage the castle.

It is located in Berthelsdorf, a district of Herrnhut, where the first poinsettias were made over 160 years ago...
today there is a factory that still makes them by hand and sends them all over the world.
I always enjoy looking at the different stars in the factory...
Yes, and then, I made this hat for when I go feed the birds in the rain... it's 6 to 8 degrees plus now... what do you think, will you have a white Christmas?
I hope it happens again this winter.
Warm greetings and lots of Advent joy to everyone near and far.
Klem fra Viola
They are all exquisite pics
AntwortenLöschen...Viola, you shared such lovely images. I love the natural material used for decorations and the Moravian stars. Have a warm and bright Christmas. ☃️ 🎄 ❄️ 🎅🏼
AntwortenLöschenChe belle immagini natalizie !!! Ti lascio i miei auguri !!!
AntwortenLöschenThe Christmas star symbolizes the Star of Bethlehem from the biblical story. It is named after the Herrnhuter Brethren congregation, which has its headquarters in Herrnhut in Upper Lusatia/Germany.
AntwortenLöschenThe first stars were made in yellow and red.
I like the star in yellow because it gives a wonderfully warm light in the darkness.
Lots of seasonal images here, Viola, and it looks like you are really into the lead-up to Christmas. No snow here yet and it doesn’t look good for a white Christmas. Actually snow at Christmas has become a bit of a rarity in recent years. All the very best for the holidays - David
AntwortenLöschenThis post is so beautiful -- I love all the wonderful photos and seeing how you celebrate. Those stars are magnificent -- I'd love to visit that factory! You have snow-- I don't think we will have a white Christmas here in Michigan USA. It has been quite nice, weatherwise but Rick would like to ski. (I'm OK without the snow!) I hope your Christmas is wonderful. Thanks for visiting me at Marmelade Gypsy. I'm stating now to follow your blog so that I don't miss posts!
Hello Viola, it's snowing now and it hasn't melted yet. I hope there will be snow at Christmas, too. I can't remember the last time we had a snowy Christmas.
AntwortenLöschenYour pictures are very beautiful. I felt good here reading and looking at your pictures. All the best, Éva
Beautiful photos, Viola. The stars are very lovely, and we need a lot of light right now. I wish you a wonderful weekend!
AntwortenLöschenMany hugs :)
Viola, it's summer around here and the forecasts predict that it will be very hot. I've never experienced a Christmas with snow because it never happens in my city, but it does happen in Argentinian Patagonia
AntwortenLöschenYour wreath is beautiful with all of the things you've collected from nature! So pretty. All of your pictures are beautiful...I always enjoy them and this post was no exception! The different stars are so lovely!
AntwortenLöschenLovely post. Have a nice weekend.
AntwortenLöschenSuch lovely Advent setting to visit and enjoy!
AntwortenLöschenThank you, Viola, for sharing this post full of loveliness.
AntwortenLöschenA walk in the forest sounds absolutely wonderful, and so does coffee and cake in Zinzendorf Castle!
I'd never heard of poinsettias - apart from the plants - but how gorgeous they are!
Enjoy your trip to Saxon Switzerland, there's a fellow blogger of mine who lives there, and I would love to visit! xxx
A lovely post-the photos are amazing! Merry Christmas time to you and your family!
AntwortenLöschenWonderful post, Viola. The stars are gorgeous to see, You are in the spirit of Christmas, plenty of snow and nice scenery to enjoy. I hope you and your family have a Happy and Merry Christmas.
AntwortenLöschenThere's no chance of snow here this year, but I keep hoping. The stars are gorgeous, as are the snowy photos, and the times drinking coffee and wine and cake. Happy Third Advent weekend to you.
AntwortenLöschen6 to 8 degrees for you, and 37 deg C for us today! I am enjoying seeing your snowy photos, and your food and treats look delicious.
Dearest Viola,
AntwortenLöschenWell, you live in one of the best parts of the world for a festive and meaningful Christmas period! And you also got snow!
Hugs,
Mariette
The snow is gone here, its really grey and dull. Your pictures are always so beautiful and lovely! I enjoy every post!
AntwortenLöschenHave a great Christmas week and take care :)
Titti
The photos are lovely to see, thank you for sharing.
AntwortenLöschenThat snow looks good :)
Third Sunday of Advent already!! December is passing by too quickly. It's such a lovely time with special music, birds that come to the feeders, cakes and cookies we only have at Christmas. Walks in the woods or by the lake. Have a wonderful week. Granny Marigold
AntwortenLöschenLovely pictures Viola. Especially love the beautiful pottery and foliage. xx
All the decorations look just lovely! The forest looks inviting. Did not know about poinsettias being anything but the plants. How dramatically pretty they are. Cute hat! Enjoyed the photos of the birds. I hope you make it skiing this year. :)
AntwortenLöschenThank you for your lovely pictures of the medieval Christmas market, how I would love to see it in person! I love the beautiful stars you explained are in honor or the Bethlehem Star, such a beautiful work of art. I looked up the book you wrote to me about, A Whole Life, and the reviews are excellent on it so it is going on my list.
AntwortenLöschenA very merry Christmas to you!
Wonderful photos, Viola, the birds are my faves. I have been sick with Covid, but am slowly getting better. I wish you and your family a happy Christmas! Hugs, Valerie
Hjertelig velkommen!
Takk for hyggelige kommentarer på min blogg.
Gode adventsdager ønskes av Tove/fargeneforteller
So many great photos
AntwortenLöschenThese photos are so beautiful, Viola. They are magical. I love the birds and your wonderful bird-feeding hat! And the lights are just lovely. I would so love to see that market. The stars are incredible and I loved seeing the pastries! Thank you so much for your visits. I'm sending all good Christmas wishes now, just in case I don't get back before the holidays -- but I'll try!
So lecker.
AntwortenLöschenWhat a beautiful Christmas Market!....I love your pictures and I would love to taste that spicy wine!....all the best for you and your family in 2024!......Abrazotes, Marcela
AntwortenLöschenLovely pictures, Viola! Thank you very much for your recent visit to my blog and leaving a beautiful comment; unfortunately I managed to delete it by mistake :-( , because I was deleting some spam comments and your comment went with it, sorry! I hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas! Best wishes......
Traude

A beautiful post. Twinkling lights, snowy scenes and mulled wine, so festive. The Bethlehem stars from the factory are all amazing. Your wreath looks perfect using natural materials from your snowy walks. No snow here for Christmas but I hope you get enough for you to ski.
AntwortenLöschenMerry Christmas, Viola x
What gorgeous pictures! I love pictures of windows. And those stars! Incredible. Everything looks so cozy and what a cute hat you made. No snow in the Eastern US this year for Christmas but we will have a jolly old time anyway, hahaha! Merry Christmas to you, Viola ... xoxo
AntwortenLöschenWonderful photo's, pretty decorations, stay warm on the trails. Merry Christmas.
AntwortenLöschenOh my Viola, this was such a lovely post.
AntwortenLöschenYour days sound delightful and I enjoyed your photographs.
Wishing you and your family a very Happy Christmas.
All the best Jan

Fine julestemningsbider! Ønsker deg en riktig god jul! :)
AntwortenLöschenLovely photos. I am old fashioned at heart and they take me back to times of old. Life was less complicated and Christmas was celebrated more traditionally.
AntwortenLöschenHugs and Blessings
