Sy glede - sewing joy
I had bought Tilda fabrics
and followed sewing instructions
for a pillowcase.
I'm very happy about it.
I incorporated quilt elements into the front
and ordered Tilda Blommsville Garden Vista for the back and sewed in a zipper. I like zippers.
It's rhubarb season in the garden...
and the first rhubarb cake was baked - I put a quark mixture (quark is a kind of loose cheese) with lots of eggs on top... this cake is very popular.
and I made a delicious rhubarb crumble... it's prepared much quicker than the cake :-))
With the next photos I would like to get you in the mood for the Pentecost weekend.
We'll be out in nature...
and now the rhododendrons are blooming here in abundance.

When I get back to sewing, I plan on making a few beautiful quilts and some pillow cases. I've set that aside for now while I am super active in outdoor activities.

I går var det Norges nasjonaldag, så jeg var i byen med barn og barnebarn. For et fantastisk vær! Mange tusen barn i barnetoget, og Oslo var full av mennesker.

Åh, sommerfarger på tekstiler og sommer i naturen. Og rabarbrakake! Det smaker av sommer. Her var rabarbraen under snø sist mandag morgen, så det tar litt tid før jeg kan høste den inn. Men i dag har det vært + 20 grader, før regnet kom nå i kveld. Jeg husker de kjempestore rhododendrontrærne hos dere. De var avblomstret da vi var på tur, og jeg måtte spørre om det virkelig var rhododendron??? Her jeg bor, er det noen som har noen små planter i hagene, og jeg vet at lenger sør i landet trives de plantene bedre og blir større. Men ikke slik som de jeg så da vi var på tur i skogen hos dere! Ha det godt og hils (...og ta et ekstra stykke kake for meg ;-) ), Klem, Oddi
