A few years ago, we moved from Dresden to the pretty town of Pulsnitz. The first documented mention of the village as a village dates back to May 19, 1225, and a small church had already been built there – the Church of Our Lady.

In 1355, Emperor Charles IV granted market rights, and in 1375, town charter. The larger town church, St. Nicholas, was built in 1473.

Gingerbread has been baked in Pulsnitz since 1558 – they are characterized by the longer maturation of the dough and are still a specialty today. There are eight small “Kücheleien”, as the Lebküchner are called, in Pulsnitz, where baking takes place all year round.

So, Pulsnitz's 800th anniversary has been celebrated since last night – yesterday I danced in the drizzle to the 18-person Big Band... it was a dream... so much fun.

 The celebration continues until next Sunday, the streets are closed and there's a Ferris wheel - I want to use it :-))

And otherwise... I sewed, baked, cooked, cycled - through this landscape...           you know... walked too

When the rapeseed blooms, you have to be out and about; this color of nature is unique.

We also have the green woodpecker, which is mainly found in the castle park, but I haven't yet gotten a picture of it on my phone camera.

And it's especially beautiful to watch the storks 

raising their young in the summer.

And 

For all you needle and thread lovers: I worked with fabrics from the fabric market.

I sewed two tops with turned seams

And from the colorful Italian fabric, I sewed a pair of summer pants with pockets and a nice wide waistband.

I am happy AND I think there are a few more dances this week.
