I gave away No. 3
These are my treasures... the middle one is No. 1 - I kept this one for myself - above is No. 2, which was also made as a 40th birthday present and below is No. 3, which I gave away this summer.
For this project, I used exclusively Kaffe Fassett fabrics, which are characterized by their wonderful color palette.
The blanket was quilted again in Anke's quilt shop, I sewed the binding by hand. And here is all the splendor... I'm very happy.

Hugs back Viola. your quilts are gorgeous!! I love Kaffe Faucet too. and your garden is so beautiful we have been in a draught with very hot temperatures this summer-so my garden is not so good.
AntwortenLöschenHugs from Missouri
Hei Viola!
AntwortenLöschenDine tepper er virkelig flotte! Jeg likte så godt det med solhattene innfelt. Du er utrolig flink til å sy tepper. Vakre blomster fra hagen din også.
Klem fra Marit
Beautiful quilts - if you have given some away there are going to be some happy happy people. What a lovely time you are having in your garden.
AntwortenLöschenWonderful quilts. And food. And flowers. What a nice experience, looking into your world.
AntwortenLöschenLovely photos.
AntwortenLöschenYou have made some wonderful quilts, Viola. They are so bright and colourful. The apple harvest looks good and the pies you made with them will be delicious. Lovely to have drinks in the garden and enjoy the company of some feathered friends too. Happy September to you x
AntwortenLöschenLovely to see your garden and the visitors. What a beautiful quilt you gave away.
AntwortenLöschen...Vola, your quilts and gardens are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing.
AntwortenLöschenSo beautiful! I also love Kaffe Fassett's fabrics and I have some in my studio right now. I made my first quilt this summer-it's a Christmas gift for my daughter-in-law. I made a small quilt for her dog too!
AntwortenLöschenThe quilts are lovely, I'm sure the gifted ones will be well appreciated. The apple cobbler looks delicious, happy stitching, happy autumn!
AntwortenLöschenThe quilts are done so beautifully!
AntwortenLöschenYour quilts are wonderful, Viola....and your Kaffe Fassett quilt matches your garden beautifully!
AntwortenLöschenYour quilts are absolutely fantastic! Så beautiful. And the person who got your quilt as a present must have been the happiest person in the world:-)
AntwortenLöschenAnd everything you can harvest in your garden - WOW! Almost the same here in Sweden, but not quite;-)
Beautiful quilts and garden pictures....

AntwortenLöschenOh my those quilts are all so beautiful!!! All the food looks delicious.
AntwortenLöschenLove seeing the birds in the birdbath.
Ahh...all the delights of summery gorgeousness in this post, dear Viola. Flowers, apple pie, cheese, ham, tomatoes and crispy bread, and a quilt dancing in Kaffe Fassett sumptuous fabrics......all make me smile.
AntwortenLöschenBellas colchas, me dio ganas del pastel. Te mando un beso.
AntwortenLöschenYour quilts are so lovely, I'm happy that you have kept one for yourself. I always enjoy your beautiful photos, especially the quilts and all the delicious desserts you created.
AntwortenLöschenBeautiful quilts. Great photography. Again, the food looks delish. Love watching the birds splashing in the bird bath.
AntwortenLöschenH8gs and Blessings
The quilts are all so pretty. Lovely fabrics you chose.
AntwortenLöschenYour cake looks delicious. I also did some baking today.
Your quilts are wonderful Viola!!
AntwortenLöschenYes, even the forest and the garden are delightful.
You have very delicious productions, the cake looks fantastic! The roses are excellent, the birds are wonderful company! Have a beautiful week in your fantastic garden!!
Beautiful quilts, you certainly did a marvelous job making them.
AntwortenLöschenThe rose is a beautiful one, and I love the colour.
Apples look good as does your cooking.
What colours! What joy! The fabrics echo the beauty of nature, but cannot compete with the glories of the flowers or the plumage of the birds. Even Solomon in all his glories was not arrayed as fine as them.
AntwortenLöschenSuch a stunning quilt Viola, gorgeous. And your garden looks beautiful, happy days. xx
AntwortenLöschenVilka vackra och färgsprakande täcken du gjort.
AntwortenLöschenÄpplekaka är så gott.
Ha en fin söndag.
Kram Carin
Such a treasure for the recipient.
AntwortenLöschenYou have a lovely garden and that pie made me hungry
The colours for the quilt are vibrant indeed, Viola. Your garden is equally gorgeous with bright colours and wonderful produce. The simply joy of one’s own backyard is hard to adequately describe, but I think you have done a great job here in conveying that feeling. Fine company you have for morning coffee! Very best wishes - David
AntwortenLöschenThese are the most incredibly beautiful quilts I think I've ever seen. I love Kaffe Fassett but didn't realize he had such a magnificent fabric line. They are filled with such color and such joy. I know those on the receiving end of your generosity are lucky people indeed. And your garden is gorgeous, the party delightful. This post is the most perfect way to begin the day, for what is better than to begin with color and joy?
AntwortenLöschenWhat a beautiful colourful post. Your quilts are such vibrant colours and you have a lovely garden too:)
AntwortenLöschenYour quilts are amazing. I love Kaffe Fassett fabrics because they are so full of color. You used them well, and I really like the trim you added. And your gardening and enjoyment of the last summer look great. And tasty too. have a super new week. hugs-Erika
AntwortenLöschenHello Viola,
AntwortenLöschenWhat a great creation with the wonderful and brightly colors.
And what a nice pictures of the flowers and the fresh apples from the apple tree. That must be so delicious. And the apple cake looks very tasty. And the lunch is ready I see...hmmm...!!
Many greetings,
Marco
It looks like you are having a lovely summer! I, too love Kaffe Fassett designs. Did I spot a Anna Maria Horner print also? The one with the purple cone flowers. A beautiful quilt!
AntwortenLöschenThank you so much for your information... I'm so happy, because quilting and the like, including quilt- fabrics, are still in their infancy here. I've been looking at Anna Maria Horner's fabrics; they're beautiful and not readily available here yet... I think that will change... and I'm surprised myself that I've discovered patchwork and quilting...
LöschenThe quilts are so pretty.
AntwortenLöschenThe flowers so beautiful.
Looks a wonderful harvest and delicious baking.
Lovely to see the birds in the bird--bath, they enjoy it!
Sending my good wishes.
Enjoy your September.
All the best Jan

What a beautiful post! The colors of nature are reflected in your gorgeous quilts. I love the bright happy colors.
AntwortenLöschenThat sounds absolutely lovely! 🧵✨ There’s something so special about a quilt finished with care—Anke’s quilting plus your hand-sewn binding makes it truly unique. No wonder you’re so happy; it’s pure craftsmanship and beauty!
AntwortenLöschenWow, that sounds wonderful! 🌸🪡 There’s something so satisfying about seeing a quilt completed, especially with your own hand-sewn binding. The care and detail really show—no wonder you’re feeling so happy with the splendor of it!
AntwortenLöschenThose quilts are truly fantastic! I particularly love the one for which you used Kaffe Fassett fabrics. We went to visit an exhibition of some of his creations at Powis Castle in Wales a couple of years ago.
AntwortenLöschenYour garden is looking fabulous as well, I'm really envious of all that produce. And oh my, doesn't that apple pie look delicious? xxx
Så hyggelig å se og lese, Viola. Jeg skulle gjerne drukket kaffe og smakt på eplekaken din! Den ser megagod ut! Nydelige stoffer du har brukt til tepper.
