Jeg sydde igjen og er veldig fornøyd med resultatet.

I sewed from my fabric supply and I am very happy with the result.

Jeg liker veldig godt å lage noe og finne ut hvordan jeg best kan få det til...jeg har flere deler på gang :-)))

I really enjoy creating something and figuring out how best to make it happen... I have several pieces in the works :-)))

But nature is calling... Being outside is the best thing to do right now.

And now it's in the oven - the cherry pie. Today there will be guests for coffee.

Rakotz Bridge - Kromlau/Germany

Yesterday we took a tour to this beautiful place - the Rakotz Bridge in the Azalea and Rhododendron Park in Kromlau. This place is in Lusatia, where a large part of the population are Sorbs... with its own language - Sorbian.

for Easter they make the most wonderful Easter eggs using different techniques... I've tried it too, it's a lot of fun but takes a lot of time... 

We visited the Sorbian Center, where I found this picture, among other things, and where the various costumes - Trachten - are on display.

If you pay attention you can find old three-sided courtyards

Due to the opencast coal mining, there is a large lake landscape

...Back to the park... we haven't admired the flowers yet...

It's a beautiful walk, with everything your heart desires...

....but the bridge is quite unbelievable - it was built in the romantic period 

from 1866 to 1875.

Aspargesen er klar til høsting

The asparagus is ready to harvest 

and in my garden the rhubarb

...neste innhøsting blir surkirsebær og jordbær i juni... Jeg gleder meg til å bake fantastiske kaker og invitere venner igjen.

...next harvests are sour cherries and strawberries in June... I'm looking forward to baking wonderful cakes and inviting friends over.

A walk through forest and fields is a dream right now.

 

De siste tulipanene blomstrer og visner i hagen og rosene er ved start.

The last tulips in the garden are fading, but the roses will soon replace them.

There were a few festivals here with us... like the town festival with lots of music, the 30th Karl May festival nearby with beautiful horses and a folk festival where I shot a flower with an airgun, it's standing now in the living room ... very proud :-)))

(Yes, I sewed the little colorful coasters brand new.)
