Yay, there was some snow
Anyone who knows me knows that I love winter and snow and am therefore happy about every snowflake here. How wonderful the snow crunches under my boots... Well, the photos aren't spectacular, but maybe they can be later in the year. Anyway, I'm happy now. Because being outside is always nice.

Some of you have been interested in this type of star. I made this one out of tea bag.
Interesting patterns emerge, you can also use any other type of paper, even writing paper.
I painted printer paper and cut nine 5 x 5 cm pieces.
This is my reminder of the first star I made. I can't show it because I gave it and other stars away.
It shows the steps very nicely... first, each of the nine pieces of paper is folded into a "headscarf"... this creates the line we will continue to work on... two folds make a parallelogram...
YES.
Here is the "headscarf"...
Open the headscarf to fold the parallelogram in two steps - here step 1...
here step 2.
One point of each star is the part on the top left... so the top right part is folded back to the center line and a point is created.
When you put the pieces together later, you will need exactly this fold - remember it - feel free to give it a name: Maybe Somnium :-)))
...here the last “Somnium” part is folded :-))
The individual star tips are now finished.
The bottom part must now be worked on so that the pieces can be put together.
To do this, fold backwards along the drawn line (from corner to corner).
You can see the step here.
The small triangle in the middle is also folded backwards (it stabilizes the star).
I'm telling you - now comes the best part!
The parts are put together.
You take the first part in your left hand - as in the photo - and put the second part in the gap in the first part...
You have to make sure that "Somnium" (remember it?) of the first part encloses the part that is folded back - that means you fold "Somnium" open slightly and put the next part in - this is how the star is attached.

| note the folding |
"Somnium" will enclose the piece that is folded back. Therefore, "Somnium" must be unfolded briefly.
When you're on part 8 - you'll be so experienced that you can attach part 9 at the end too.
I didn't design the technique myself; I made the star in the folk art museum and there are plenty of instructions online.
I hope you have fun if you try it... take or make some pretty paper and get started.
And that evening sky – I was overwhelmed :-)))
Have fun everyone and best wishes from me.
Thank you very much for your greetings.

| my Advent calendar. |
Since we spent our summer vacation in the south of England this year, I was particularly pleased about the Advent calendar with English tea from Dorset... I enjoyed every cup - and there is only one left... for tomorrow :-) Christmas Eve. Tomorrow the Christmas tree will be lit up in the living room and the Stollen will be cut in the afternoon, there will be potato salad with various sausages, the family will be united when the Christ Child comes.

here the craft of bobbin lace making in the Folk Art Museum....
I bought three of these beautiful Christmas angels - AND and fold paper stars again... it's really fun.
...and this star is particularly beautiful.
Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones and family.
